Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What materials are the tiki tables and stools made of?
Both the Admiral, Skipper Tiki Table and stool tops are built from King Starboard, an extremely durable marine-grade material designed to withstand harsh marine conditions.
Are the tables and stools waterproof/weather resistant?
Yes! King Starboard is a marine-grade material built specifically for life on the water. It's resistant to moisture, UV, and the elements — making it perfect for sandbars, docks, and coastal outdoor use.
What are the dimensions of the Admiral and Skipper tiki tables?
The Admiral Tiki Table measures 24x36 inches and weighs 35 lbs, comfortably seating 4 or more guests. The Skipper Tiki Table measures 24x24 inches and weighs 28 lbs, seating 2–4 guests. Both feature a detachable 59" table leg for easy assembly and disassembly.
Do you sell umbrellas?
At this time, umbrellas are not included with your purchase. We recommend a standard nine-foot patio umbrella with a 1.5" pole to fit the universal umbrella hole on both the Admiral and Skipper tables.
How does the Tiki Table hold up in high winds?
Our tiki tables are built from King Starboard and designed for marine environments, but like any freestanding table, we recommend removing the umbrella in high wind conditions. The detachable leg makes breakdown quick and easy so you can pack up fast when the weather turns. You should have no problem in up to 15mph winds.
Are the Tiki Tables easy to store?
Yes! Both the Admiral and Skipper Tiki Tables feature a detachable 59" table leg, making them quick to break down and easy to store on your boat, in a garage, or at the dock. The Admiral weighs just 35 lbs and the Skipper 28 lbs, so they're manageable to carry and transport.
How do you install the Tiki Table and stools?
Setup is simple! The table leg detaches for transport and reattaches in minutes — no tools required. Just twist the 59" leg into the sand using the small, detachable pole found under the table., pop the umbrella up and you're ready to go. The stools are inserted into the sand just like the table using the same small pole that clips to the underside of your table.
How do I care for and maintain my tiki furniture?
King Starboard is low maintenance by design. Simply rinse with fresh water after saltwater exposure and clean with a mild soap and water solution as needed. Do not scrub the top, but wipe with the grain in the EVA foam top. Avoid harsh abrasive cleaners. Let your table and stools dry in the sun and put them away for your next sandbar outing.
Can the furniture be customized?
Yes! We offer personalization with your name (up to 13 letters) or custom artwork/boat name. For custom orders, contact us at stephanie@soflomarineworks.com. Personalized pricing starts at $340 for the Skipper and $425 for the Admiral.
